Health & Beauty - Karlowsky sets new standards with ``green`` collection for medicine, care and wellness

With over 129 years of experience, Karlowsky Fashion GmbH is firmly anchored in the international market for workwear. Since last year, Karlowsky has also been concentrating on expanding into new product areas. This includes the medical, care, cosmetics and wellness sectors, which are reflected in the new Health&Beauty collection. To achieve a breakthrough in these sectors, the family-owned company is focusing not only on its core-values of tradition, innovation and quality, but also on the issue of sustainability.

Magdeburg, 01.06.2021 – To make the sustainable corporate guideline clear in all product areas and collections, Karlowsky is labelling new ecologically-sustainable workwear within the entire assortment with Green Generation®. The new Green Generation® products are made of certified sustainable materials such as organic cotton and recycled polyester. In addition, as before, they are characterised by manufacturing under fair production and working conditions worldwide and regular testing of the products for harmful substances. Karlowsky thus underlines the path to sustainable fashion that is already being taken today.

 

“Our Green Generation® products are an investment in the future of our planet and are intended to inspire fundamental change.” This is how Managing Director Thomas Karlowsky summarises in a few words a concept that will lead workwear into a sustainable future. “We want to offer our customers genuine sustainable quality products with the greatest possible transparency. This also includes that we will equip products with the State-certified Grüner Knopf seal in order to give our trade partners another strong sales argument.” The course for this is set with the product certifications GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) & GRS (Global Recycled Standard). As a manufacturer, Karlowsky Fashion thus lives up to its pioneering role when it comes to sustainability – with workwear that not only shapes the present with its unusual style, but also shapes the future through the use of sustainable materials.

 

The sustainable “footprint” can be seen, among other things, in the novelties of the Health&Beauty collection developed for medicine, care, wellness & cosmetics. The new products of the Essential series of the collection, are characterised not only by their Mix&Match character (all products consist of a common material composition and can be combined with each other as desired), but also by the use of polyester from recycled plastics. In addition to a modern short-sleeved slip-on tunic for men & women (KS 65 & KS 66), the outerwear range also includes a short-sleeved tunic with press studs (KS 63) and a casual tunic to pull-over (KS 64). The set is rounded off with a multifunctional slip-on trouser (HM 14) and a new bandana (KM 30). The new series convinces with its high washability of up to 95 °C for clinically clean workwear and with super-light material for a comfortable wearing feeling in demanding work environments. The new products are available in eleven fashionable, eye-catching colours, thus offering a wide choice for all companies and their corporate design.
